Fela

 

 

    Many people go by the name of Fela no doubt. Infact, it might even be you or your brother but trust me I am talking about the one and only Olufela Olusegun Oludotun Ransome-Kuti also known as Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

 

     We remember him today as he left us on 2nd August 1997. My younger sister was about 8 years old then. I was so in shock when I heard the news.

 

     Fela is like a musical father to me Jazz, highlife,and afrobeat- wise.

 

We miss him. Long live the Afro-beat King , Long live Fela!!!
